A note to all parents
“Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.” — Tony Benn
As a photographer, someone who creates portraits to serve as little time capsules, I am so often stunned by how camera shy my grown-up clients are. Sure, I am a baby and newborn photographer, someone who is expected to come in and make beautiful pictures of your newly arrived little angel.
Yet, dear parents, there is nothing more valuable than an image of you cradling your little babies. Trust me, the photographs that depict you as a lovely family are the ones that will forever remain closest to the heart.
So when you book your next photography session, ladies, put some lipstick on, gentlemen, grab a fresh shirt. And smile for the camera! OK, just kidding, do not smile at the camera. Look at your lovely little angel, take in their innocence, acknowledge their perfection, and give them your biggest smile.
